is it true that you burn 1 calorie for every abdominal crunch?

I’m trying to find a way to quatify abdominal crunches. I think I heard for a full sit up, you burn 2 – 3 calories per sit up.

    sounds reasonable.
    it mighhhhht be true.

This is 100% not true. It takes about 10 minutes running on the treadmill at average intensity to burn 100 calories.

This would mean that you do 100 abdominal crunches in 1 minute and burn 100 calories.

If your goal is to burn fat, abdominal crunches and sit ups are definitely not even close to one of the best calorie burning exercises

not even close. it takes hardly any effort for the muscles in the midsection to perform work. 1 crunch is closer to 1/10 calorie
