You’re wrong there, buddy. You shouldn’t be doing crunches at all. When you bend your spine doing crunches, you risk injuring it. Your abs aren’t designed to move in this pattern so they should not be trained at such. When you do crunches you are repeatedly bending the disks in your back and aren’t forcing your abs to resist motion. It’s a poor way to train.

sorry but thats like saying how to get a ripped chest with out doing a single press..stability is only one part of the equation in abs the other part is crunches and flexing them… you wont get a ripped chest by only doing planks even tho your arms and chest burn. same thing
